WNRV was proud to sponsor the 2009 edition of our annual Holiday Concert.
All three bands provided a great set of music, and Chris’ Old Virginia Smokehouse served up plenty of good food. Thanks to everyone that attended, and congratulations to the winners of the 3 door prizes. We appreciate your support of WNRV and local music.
We also want to thank the bands and everyone else that helped out with the concert, including the businesses and individuals that sold advance tickets. We appreciate Bill Blevins serving as the master of ceremony, and Wendy and Linda for handling the front ticket table.

This year’s show featured Nashville recording artist Donna Ulisse & the Poor Mountain Boys. They were joined by two local favorites: Hans Creek String Band and State Line Bluegrass. The concert was held on December 5th at 7:00 PM at Giles High School in Pearisburg, VA. Tickets were $10 and could be purchased from the locations listed below. Food was provided by Chris Via and the Old Virginia Smokehouse.
A portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to the sports and music programs of Giles High School and Narrows High School. Giles High School is located at 1825 Wenonah Avenue in Pearisburg, VA. The official site for Donna Ulisse & the Poor Mountain Boys is www.donnaulisse.com. |
