The Old Virginia Smokehouse was the long-time sponsor of the WNRV Mountain Music Show and the Old-time Song of the Day. The Old Virginia Smokehouse recognizes the importance of preserving the history and traditions of old-time music, and works with WNRV to help keep these traditions available for the local region and beyond.
The Old Virginia Smokehouse closed their Pembroke location in October 2013 and is currently focusing on catering.
From November 2011-January 2013 WNRV recorded many of our New River Valley Jamboree show live at from the Old Virginia Smokehouse on Saturday nights. They also hosted a weekly Thursday night jam from September 2011-October 2013. Many thanks to the Smokehouse for hosting the music and WNRV!
The Old Virginia Smokehouse is a Giles County-based BBQ business that specializes in pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, and ribs. These delicious meats are slow cooked with oak and hickory and are available with a variety of homemade sauces and Southern sides. The traditions used are akin to North Florida-South Georgia, Texas, and good ole Virginia.
